So i decided to check out streamelements and after some googling found a lack of answering regarding customizing the chat (without overlay or any such) All i see on the streamelements activity feed (the obs dock) is a whited out window. Streamelements uses a different wrapping for their variables {} instead of (), so it makes sense that $(eval) would be turned into ${eval} Except it doesn't seem like streamelements has any eval variable (the actual variables page requires login), hence why streamelements just dumped it plaintext into chat.
