Hopefully you'll find it helpful I see the aro and asexual parts of my identity as subtypes of the lesbian framework orientation The separation between romantic and sexual orientations, and the gross overuse/misuse of the aromantic and asexual labels is often really problematic for a variety of reasons
For one, there's little to no evidence or research to support a demonstrable difference between romantic and sexual orientations. I am aromantic asexual, for example, yet i also see myself as a lesbian because i feel some form of attraction to women that i don' t feel for men and would want a female partner For people who are either asexual, aromantic, homoromantic bisexual, heteroromantic bisexual or biromantic homosexual it's easy to distinguish because they have experienced it
It's like how some people can experience colors differently than others and can see more or fewer colors than other people
It's hard to describe a new color to other. If there are asexual people, aromantic people must also exist too, seeing as romantic orientation is a scale like sexuality That doesn't mean you are aromantic though. Several aromantic and asexual people i have met doesn't have the same type of curiosity
To them it's like not having any desire or need to explore They are happy without romance and sex Here are some signs that may help you figure out your attraction This is from my experience
Who you wants to spend time with.
Homoromantic bisexual vs homoflexible discussion in ' sexual orientation ' started by grungeteen, oct 30, 2015. Recently, i’ve been thinking about my feelings toward attraction and relationships and i think i might be somewhere on the asexual spectrum, and possibly also aromantic It's still kinda new for me so i wanted to share some of my thoughts and see if someone else have had similar experiences. I identify as asexual, 24 yr old woman
I lean more towards liking the opposite gender but reality is i have a very low, low desire (so low that i have never been with anyone in anyway and so happy about it lol) to be with anyone at all so just say aromantic. There is a lot of information on what it means to be asexual and the variations depending on where you are on the spectrum but i find nothing on what. They might only experience romantic attraction on very rare occasions, or feel romantic attraction but not desire romantic relationships, or experience a feeling somewhere in between platonic and romantic
